It’s so simple. Blue Moon, Come on City, Best team in the land, hey Jude, Wr love you city, champione, we’re not really here, Hark now hear, will travel round if sung at the right moments. The whole ground knows the right moments too. I remember us scoring recently and the south stand immediately bursting into “Here’s to you Vincent kompany” at 100 mph. The moment was lost.I’m not sure I agree with you on the first point. It’s not always, but when ss3 sing lots of sections around the ground do join in. The south stand should be leading the singing in my opinion.
It’s all to do with song choice. 90% of the ground aren’t going to join in songs about Dzeko or empty seats. Ss3 sing we love you city or blue moon (classics) the rest of the ground follow
Ss1 seems to be on a different song sheet. It’s not a criticism, as most of the songs are great, just think not enough of the classics are sung
Nobody is criticising the south stand but they seem to be getting it wrong a lot of the time. It seems to me that because of the shit acoustics in the bottom tier, lads are using clap clap clap to get songs going which is ultimately leading to the wrong songs.
