Watching a chess match doesn't really get the blood stirring does it.
Where did your chess match take place?

Just thinking about songs we have lost ,Mancini, ballotelli, and pellers, the 6_1 is getting old zaba and Vinny don't play much all great songs we don't sing anymore even the blue moon before kick off carnt be played anymore.I've always been one of the biggest critics of our atmosphere and it's just same as ever. Crap. In fact I think the sound carried around the ground better when the singing section was in the corner of East Stand Level 1 rather than being in South Stand Level 1 which is sandwiched between the away fans (who completely out-noise SSL1 if they get a decent chant going) and the silent Colin Bell. And a lot of the rest of the ground is simply lazy.
What doesn't help though is that we never ever have any new City songs. All our new songs are always player songs now and that's not what you sing in a tense game, it's City songs we need and we only have a few and they're all dead old.
Predictable reply. The dynamics of crowd atmosphere is made up from lots of factors.Stadium size, acoustics etc. The sheer number of games has an impact as well as does the socio-economic and age profile of the fans. Bottom line though is the crowd has got to be entertained and if the game/skill levels/violence is not particularly exciting then they won't be too excited will they.Where did your chess match take place?
See you, Jimmy.Another season, another load of indignant Russ Abbots.
