Loud and Proud mate, Loud and Proud.
Yeah, course you are
Loud and Proud mate, Loud and Proud.
It doesn't. I was more talking about the lack of enthusiasm about attending games in general. The songs are shite now. At least when the "invisible man" "stand up if you love city" "blue moon" and poznan was done after goals etc the whole crowd would get involved. Now it's the shite Guardiola song and not much else. i think the mindset has changed in recent years. Alot expect to win the league and everything else is failure. When we won it in 2012 I don't think we really believed we would until after the Newcastle game and two years later until after the everton game.....We were still the underdog. We have suddenly been thrust into the "favourites" every year and it is weighing heavily on players and fans.
thats the problem, those songs are still sung, but no one is joining in with them. the worst i found it was the other week against boro. we scored and there was absoloutle nothing. i dont think you have to be the under dog to have a good atmosphere. we literally need 100 non stop singers in the south stand. thats all celtic and palace have. I'm sick of the oh what a night song, no one is going to join in wit that when we are playing chelsea, why not songs like city til i die..
even when we are losing there is no singing. under mancini/ pelle battering teams it wasn't great every game. i just think people can't be bothered and i really dont get why. why come to a game and sit in complete silence and then leave ten minutes before the end. its not just us though. every single club this is a problem. everton, west ham, sunderland its the same there and they are underdogs swell.
It's fucking weird mate. That 'Boro game was one of the hardest to get an atmosphere going and that was on the back of the Barca game in midweek which we won.
Of the 3 teams you mention, all of them have played at our place this season and my assessment of them is that Sunderland were the loudest by a mile. West Ham only got going when they got a goal back. Everton sell out away games all over the country but have some of the quietest fans in the league.

Even the goal celebrations today were muted. I went for a piss as the players celebrated and the drinkers in the back couldn't tell if it was us who had scored!
Up in SS3 you can't hear SS1 at all so it must be a sound issue in the stadium. In SS3 it started well last season but now it's back to like anywhere else in the stadium.
How dare you acuse the South Stand of having 95% Non Singers you will have M18CTID asking u to come for a chat shortly there a bit touchy in that stand.
think they're all blazing squad in there, the fucking frauds.
