I have mentioned it before but when we were dog shit singing at the game was all we had to do to entertain ourselves. We took pride in being loyal and loud in spite of watching crap. Now everyone is too nervous, every game seems like a ''Must win game.'' Over zealous stewarding, new fans, people split up all over, singers mixed in with people on phones/tablets, talking bollocks about anything but the game. It is odd but the better we get the more I seem to enjoy the whole package less. Us humans are just strange I guess lol!
I blame Aguero in that game. We'll never see anything as good as that on a football pitch ever again.
The atmosphere is what it is. People are getting complacent and expecting wins nowadays.
Me too. I don't know why either but I don't care if I miss games any more. Watford at home on a Wednesday night after work is not appealing let's put it that way!
Definitely something in the nervousness. I think many saw Pep as the Messiah. He only had to turn up and all would be well again. 3 home
Draws and a loss later and people are starting to wonder when the inevitable defensive error will come in every game. The noise after Taylor's endless poor decisions did seem to lift the team but as soon as De Bruyne missed that sitter, the nerves started kicking in and that was that. It is a bit dejavu at every game now, both on the pitch and in the stands. I look at our next home game on a Wednesday night against Watford and I think you will be able to hear the players calling each other. There will be empty seats everywhere and I'm sure most who go won't have any confidence in the result so will be nervy before it starts.
South Stand singing section its a total myth, bar the 1st game of last season this has been the biggest white elephant ever. All its done is given a chance for groups of mates to sit next to each other and they have the cheek to have ago at the other stands in the ground.
I'm with you boys. I think being up in 315 isn't helping when i was in 117 the games seemed more 'real'.I thought it was just me feeling like that , never thought I'd say it either, the highlight these days is having a couple of pints before hand , the buzz is in the pubs around the ground or even on the concourse, it's the feeling of not feeling attached to what's going on the pitch- fake huddles, sloping off at away games without even looking over there shoulders.Empty seats all over the ground today for the biggest game of the season, by the look of things it's not just me who's getting bored of it.
Football is dying in this country- sadly money has put paid to that, canned laughter .

Yeah the enjoyment Is certainly not the fanfare as the team bus arrives, OTT security getting in, the incompetent bar staff, Robots doing press ups at half time or any other cheesy shit is it!
