I love this thread!, it's unbelievable how far we've come as a club in such a short time.

Still no sign of a roof where I sit.

Thing the club should let us know if we are likely to get a soaking.

might be a stupid question, but do the cranes really need to be that big? They look as thought they're about 4 times the height of the south stand! Surely the third tier's not going to be that high up?!

It's a very good question.

Laing O'Rourke (select plant) purchased that crane for a major project in the south and it's the biggest TC in Europe. That major project doesn't start until the middle of next year however, so rather than have the asset sitting and not paying for itself, the project team are utilising it on the stadium expansion - and it's more then man enough to lift any of the steel or roof sections at the ethiad - ITS A BEAST :)

Good shout that Moggy.

Straight off the production line.

First time it's been used in Europe.

City ruining cranes since 2014.

Looks like it could replace our version then.

The Met office currently predicts a dry night on Monday with gentle zephyrs

Very impressive. Best be careful when the Scousers come they will nick the lot, erect at candle field and denied any knowledge. On the subject not easy for the away fans to get in.

jrb, by my reckoning that's 2 floors in place... then another 2 to go after that. And then.... THE BIG ONE..... that the terrace is built on! Gonna be huuuuge, the back of the stand is higher than the existing roof!

That's odd, it looks like they've got this version of the crest up on the wall:

They are 'celebrating' all of the OSC branches I believe

That City football logo on the sign is the same as the Cityzens one

I reckon that'll be used across the CFG

Also, We've been using Cityzens logo on the front of the training kit, I reckon when the new training ground opens that'll be replaced with a new sponsor

I'm SS L2 block 217, I usually go in entrance N, obviously not this season any ideas where I'll have to go?
Not been confirmed yet... I do security on Match day and they are still sorting out final plans for games, main worry is how to get the away fans in without mixing with the home fans, most other tickets will just be activated so they can be used on another entrance and then walk along either concourse to your seat...

Re: Etihad Campus, Stadium Development and Collar Site (cont

I'll be going into the entrance just behind city square stage
And walking down to 111/112 through the concourse.

Saves the hassle of walking around outside.

Also, great pics those John, then watching the CGI video afterwards it really becomes more of a reality.

Watched the 3d vid before and it was just like playing a videogame - a little unbelievable.

To see the pics, and then to watch the CGI again, it becomes believable :)

Also, I can see City really pushing this CFG thing, and as another poster mentioned above, using that logo as City, for different avenues such as City Football/Shopping/Travel/Finance whatever really.
