Re: Etihad Campus, Stadium Development and Collar Site (cont

Does anyone else think the club are missing a trick with all the developments?

As this thread, other forums and Twitter proves there is huge interest in the developments and yet the club do next to nothing on social media.

I would have thought daily pics, weekly updates etc would be well worth it.

Looking at that second picture down you get a sense of just how big the internal concourse is going to be on the ground floor of the South Stand. I can't recall the details on the planning application but hopefully there are some impressive plans for the concessions in that area. Maybe a bar so big everyone can get served there.

You make a very good point but construction is usually a very sensitive time during any Contract.

Perhaps like with all large Construction Projects the QS's on both sides are playing the game where the Construction Company is trying desperately to get one of many staged payment invoices into ADUG and ADUG is finding reasons to disallow it.

Not sure if its true or not but I heard BAM are currently incurring financial penalties for late delivery of part of their Campus Project.

Edit:
Seem to remember when aerial photos were stopped by MCFC, probably for the same reason. Hence our reliance on the fabulous work done by members posting the progress.

Maybe for legal reasons the powers that be prefer that its officers keep a discreet silence regarding progress of each Project ?

Its certainly a shame because everyone who in involved on a job will know what the programme is and all parties will be aware of the deliverables. Sending fans a few snaps wont be breaching any trusts or letting any cats out of any bags.

Ref club info feeds I think the same applies to the overseas operations. What have we been told about these places and what they will bring to the grand plan? Bugger all really.

Melbourne and New York we get to hear player signings, but who's heard anything else about Yokohama or Portugal (cant remember the club) since the days of the announcement?

A little info would help.

From the Stadium wiki

The stadium's foundation stone was laid by Prime Minister Tony Blair in December 1999

Didn't know this.

Not sure if this weblink is a good or bad thing but it does seem he is well connected already to our owners.
