Good luck to those of you thinking of getting a seat in the trench.(the new first 3 rows)

Still can't work out exactly how the new 3 rows will sit in that?

What isn't clear and evident in the pictures is how high and steep the pitch is from the bottom of the trench/and the wall.

As for the digital advertising hoardings, they will have to be smaller in height, otherwise they will obscure the views of the match.

It will be interesting to see how CITY pull this one off.

Other pictures from the night to follow later on tonight.

Jesus christ jrb I was about to upload my photos but there's no point now -you must have been standing in my seat when you took those two!!

I was thinking exactly the same thing - the view from row A was absolute dogwank...we've vowed to never go that low again. I did a row D game the other year and that was bad enough; didn't actually expect it to be that much worse just 3 row further down. I've absolutely no idea how the goals went in, gonna have to watch the highlights on our site tonight to find out what exactly happened in a game I paid fucking £55 to be at!!

I've read on here they don't want to lower the pitch even after including the three new rows, but I don't see how else they can sell those tickets. If we could see fuck all from *standing* in row A, how is anyone going to see anything when sitting in (what will be) Row '-C'? City HAVE to consider making the pitch much lower (I'd suggest even further down than 3 extra rows worth of space) if any fan is going to want to permanently sit down there.

The new roof, it's going up in one lift, hence the three cranes to lift it in tandem !

How can that work ?

If you`re lifting from outside the cranes it can`t be done !

Theres not enough room to fit the new roof between the cranes and the stadium.!

What about the support cables that are still in place ?

Where would you say we are in that video?

I'm guessing about 43 seconds

Just give the trench tickets to the daytrippers who can take some cracking photos from down there!

Re: Etihad Campus, Stadium Development and Collar Site (cont

the view will be similar to the present row A as the rake will be very gradual, according to the plans. Not my idea of a great seat but many fans enjoy that position.
And answer me one question oh ye of little faith; when do the current custodians of our club get much wrong?
I trust them.

From this picture you can definitely see the digital boards are way to bright on level 2, need to turn the brightness down in future matches especially for night matches. Not to bad in the other pictures when it switches to a black background.

Wonder what the players think of it.[/quote]

That was the Dippers candles lighting the place up....

I thought they were lowering the pitch after this season?

I know bigf42 provided a good source to show that it won't be in this link: <a class="postlink-local" href="http://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=290545&p=7416855" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">viewtopic.php?f=1&t=290545&p=7416855</a>

But, I thought there had been a change since that document had been published and the pitch was to be lowered after this season.

I'd accept getting wet, but not that view! I thought the ramps that I saw on Monday night were temporary installments for health and safety purposes.

One way of looking at it though is that the fans sat on the first three rows are bound to stand a lot meaning the whole of the lower tier has to stand, meaning the third tier can copy meaning the whole stadium is standing! GET IN! (I don't care what the boring fuckers on Tier 2 do)

In the expansion vid it shows a crane removing the old roof. How the hell they gonna get that in the stadium? Lift it using the existing one's outside?? haha

Knowing what they can do with the engineering these days it wouldn't suprise me, but I think a mobile crane will be used and access via the pitch access point on the left side of of Colin Bell stand. That said, I've only ever seen massive ones like these, so fuck knows how it's going to get in.
