Currently at the Etihad.

Having a breather, sat on the concrete benches opposite the new bridge,(trees have now been planted in the large wooden planters), the Sun is out, it's very warm, and the scene in front of me looks amazing. :-) Massive changes. ;-)

Pictures of the South Stand construction, and pictures of the training academy around the Minihad to follow. (Seats are now visible in both side stands)

Will try and post the pictures tonight. If not tonight, definitely tomorrow Afternoon.

Have they done the temporary roof yet, I have got pissed wet through twice already this season?

On the left side of the South stand, as you look at it from outside. The right side is still open to the elements.

Taken today.

Didn't take any pictures of the back of the training academy as it's now basically finished. Most of the work is concentrated on the Minihad and the central building, which I don't have access to. The seats are now going in both side stands.(see pictures) Found a few new vantage points. Basically climbing on top of the Metrolink railings and shelter. Lol! Couple of duplicates. The training academy and Minihad are breathtaking when viewed close up.

I was wondering that too but it just looks random on those photos. Maybe it's a picture of something?

They've likely gone with a mix of lighter and darker seats to make the stadium look more populated during games.

A larger plane of sky blue stands out a lot more when crowds are lower but a mix of seat colours creates the illusion of less empty space.
