Currently at the Etihad.

Having a breather, sat on the concrete benches opposite the new bridge,(trees have now been planted in the large wooden planters), the Sun is out, it's very warm, and the scene in front of me looks amazing. :-) Massive changes. ;-)

Pictures of the South Stand construction, and pictures of the training academy around the Minihad to follow. (Seats are now visible in both side stands)

Will try and post the pictures tonight. If not tonight, definitely tomorrow Afternoon.
Have they done the temporary roof yet, I have got pissed wet through twice already this season?
Yes!

On the left side of the South stand, as you look at it from outside. The right side is still open to the elements.
Brilliant I am on the right hand side.

Re: Etihad Campus, Stadium Development and Collar Site (cont

There is a roofing update on City's website

As part of the on-going construction work to build the third level of the South Stand, sections of the roof were completely removed, from the corners. To ensure continuity of the roofline around the Stadium, a temporary roof has been constructed over the corner sections which will remain in place for the duration of the construction works

I like the look of the new seats in the mini stadium.

jockblue (on SSC)

jrb - has the plastic sheeting (or whatever) gone up to close over the areas that were open to the elements. They had promised this by the Chelsea game this weekend....

The left side corner of the South Stand facing the pitch has a temp cover on the roof. The right side of the South Stand also has a temp cover on the roof, which is currently being constructed.(see pictures).

The metal pillars(and cables) which support the roof are now inside the steel work/stand. Trees have been planted in large wooden planters alongside the bridge. Nice touch.

Got most of the pictures before the wooden hoardings started to go back up. 43 pictures in total.

Click twice to enlarge.

Re: Etihad Campus, Stadium Development and Collar Site (cont

love the pics jrb my favourite thread on BM..

Re: Etihad Campus, Stadium Development and Collar Site (cont

what a guy 'top man' thanks for the pics

some clever people have been sat around a table to design the south stand, building a new ground from scratch is one thing but to dissect a stadium and build into it like this while its open to the public is simply amazing

Re: Etihad Campus, Stadium Development and Collar Site (cont

Couldn't agree more, very clever architects and planners involved it probably helped using the same builders who built the original COMS having the plans and designs to work from. Think it will look amazing when both ends completed.
