Manchester City's stunning new Academy complex is set to become a source of revenue for the Blues

The sparkling City Football Academy should produce the goods on and off the field for the Blues.

Images submitted to Manchester council's planning department show how the club are to offer sponsorship opportunities around the CFA, which is set to open this month.

The facility will have 12 youth development pitches, four first team football pitches, plus the 7,000 capacity Youth Arena.

There will also be expanded City in the Community activity plus facilities for local residents.

I can feel a good Martin Samuel article on this....

It's a travesty that the corrupt bastards at Uefa can't acknowledge the difference between an owner who creates shit loads of jobs not just permanent but for hundreds of self employed local tradesman, improves an area, gives Young lads the one of the finest training facilities in the world and doesn't leverage up to the hilt to do it when compared with the parasites at the rags and scousers who are just in it to make money.

The Fa should be right behind us because this is the start of English kids getting better. They won't though because it might upset the establishment.

ABCDE Arena isn't a name I'd personally choose, lacks imagination!

Hi Blues,

Just been watching the expansion video...

And I'm just wondering how the current South Stand roof will be removed, I've watched it a few times now and still can't quite grasp it, no doubt I'm being a doughnut and it's probably right in front of my eyes but I can't see it? Could someone kindly explain it to me?

They are using sky hooks (8 in total) to support roof, then sending in a team to dismantle by hand.
