does anyone know when the EDS etc will start to play in the new mini stadium?

There was talk that the first EDS game would be Everton at the end of October, but whether that still holds true, I don't know.

Hope that's true. Or rather I actually just hope we will play our UYL game vs Bayern there as I'm over in UK that week and would like to see the new mini stadium in effect!

On the Premier League website Man City U21 v Everton U21, the venue is marked as "City Football Academy".

I wonder how the academy will compare to St George's Park?

The England base is four times the size of ours and the pictures on the FA website are stunning. I'd be very pleased if ours was as good.

In many years to come blues in the future will be so envious that we got to live this journey that we've been on as supporters since 2008.

Even more so against the backdrop of what went before.

We are so lucky.

The coaching will be better i can tell you that.

But it'll be empty most of the time, big white elephant IMO. (not City's academy may I add!)

Yeah maybe just wondered facilities wise.

The facilities will just be average run of the mill stuff. In fact that was all in the design doc. The Sheikh couldn't afford to match that England one. In fact when Khaldoon was being shown around, he looked at the relative poor quality of the work and simply nodded his head, knowing that it would be unrealistic to expect the best.
