^^ Undoubtedly.
The amount of apartments and indeed houses planned for Manchester (never mind hotel rooms) is frightening.
Population is one of the fastest in Europe...football is as popular as ever...'no brainer' as they say.

Interesting that there'a a 60 storey skyscraper rumour going round at the moment. Although some have suggested the Collar site as a possible location, I think that's possible wide off the mark.
Good to see Manchester's just about keeping ahead of Tirana in the growth stakes.

Ahead?

Looks like 0.7% behind to me

The notion that the South Stand is going to stick out like a sore thumb, on its own for several years, as a constant reminder of arrested ambition, is a fanciful one to say the least.

My money's very much on what WW says.

I hope he is correct believe me, because I was disappointed when I was told what I was told.

You might find it's a one sided expansion plan for a quite a long time !
Logic dictates that this is, in all probability, is wrong.

It is 100% wrong - I think North Stand 2016-17. And East and West Stands 2019-22.

The population of Manchester and the North West is growing significantly between now and 2030. Our ground is going to be nowhere near big enough at 62,000.

Many more performances like the shite we've had to witness this season and it'll be more than enough!

I'll back what I know to what you think !
You might want to read your post followed by Worsley's again....

Sorry mate, what am I missing ?
Actually, I think I misread your post, whoops.

That said I still think that 2016 will see the start of the North stand expansion, East and West, who knows.

Re: Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Threa

Following on from this thread this am I have checked with someone who does know exactly what is going on. Literally in the last hour.

Said that the club want to give one full season and ensure that the stadium is full and build up a pent up demand before starting the North Stand. Not withstanding works are ongoing to resolve power capacity issues in the meantime to allow the North Stand to progress at this time. If we are struggling to get close to capacity it may be delayed 1 further season at max.

I thought the north stand was defo starting this summer? Take it that isn't the case now? Probably for the best tbh

from a selfish point, i wont be too upset if its held back a season, hopefully i can keep my seat on level 2 a while longer before being priced out

There's a rugby WC on later in the year so it was never the plan to begin full development until after that had finished. Basic checks/ground works etc yes but it'll be this time in two years when the North Stand is at the stage the South Stand is now.
