So how many in total will the South Stand now hold?

IIRC they said the the expansion would add 6,250 seats. Together with the pitchside seats say 1,500 then the small number added to the south ends of the CB and Kippax -

say 400 x 2 = the extra seats should total - = 8,550. Somebody will no doubt give the correct numbers.

So.... that black matting where the players warm up has been covered by @dessosports synthetic grass. South Stand's true size felt from the pitch.

Look at the first pic - 2nd tier central block under the stadium signage. Have they filled in the walkway with seats??

I did a check on the 3d planner so not the final numbers but it looked something like this.
5988 3rd tier SS
150x2 extra bits on the CB ES
1490 front 3 rows

The above will change as the front 3 rows only contained the north, south and east stand so the CB stand is extra on top of this (guessing 500 seats). Then the new segregation has to be taken off as well (another guess of 500 seats)

so a decent guess would be 7788.

is the capacity at the end of this work going to be 55,000? thats what i've read somewhere IIRC

It will easily be this and I suspect slightly bigger. Looking at least 61500 after NS expansion as well
