wasn't in the original plans - if you can find planning app 104315 it would have been in 104315-dpp-0005 and the North Stand Lower Tier area looks no different than the South Stand equivalent - having said that I think anything relating to the North Stand in those plans is now seriously outdated
actually not - at its deepest it would barely breach the first pavement line that encircles the ground - the stage would have to go but eyeballing a bing maps aerial I'd say the stand would take no more than one third of the space between the front of the shop and the back of the existing standto my laymans eyes, the footprint of an expanded north stand would take us close to the club shop if not on it?

then the city square would obviously be compromised, the flow of people around the new stand on a match day would make it nonviable?
