It is going to be interesting to see how things unfold in the mid to long term. So, are we all agreed that work will start on the north stand to increase the capacity of the stadium to in the region of 62,000 as soon as next summer?

Whatever they plan to do with the ASDA site should include holding sidings to allow loads of double length trams to be stacked up after the game and clear away the crowds, Look at the Alliance Arena, even Wembly Stadium Station.

The infrastructure around the ground really isn't that bad compared to a lot of stadiums. The worst 2 being Arsenal, a brand new stadium, and Spurs. The parking facilities are fine now, a multi story car park would increase the space available to park, but at a cost which the club most probably won't bother to pay. Other issues like planning permission need to be taken into consideration as well as the long term impact of using up 'space' that could earn MCFC more money in different ways.

The UK is becoming greener, I'd imagine any facility improvements will be cycling and public transport.

Which is exactly what you don't want to hear after paying over a fiver to travel 4 miles!

A new train station behind the Athletics stadium would be helpful especially if they connect the line directly to Piccadilly via the disused viaduct.

there was some chat a while back about plugging-in a station to the rail line that runs across the back of the car park.

The area where the abattior is would be large enough and close enough for parking

There should be an underground, overground street level (Metrolink) and monorail going from Etihad Campus to the city centre. The transport situation at City is a joke. Still now nearly 16 years after the Commonwealth Games were awarded to the city and over 13 years since the Games went ahead, over 12 years after City moved in and 7+ years since the Sheikh arrived...the quickest way to get back to town after the game is by walking!
