If true, the fight back from Stretford has well and truly started? Possible stadium expansion and improving their youth academy.

They really have been caught with their pants down over these last few years.

Saying that, any expansion should put another £100mill on to their debt. And another season out of the CL next season will really hurt them.

How did that Smith's song go again?

"Panic on the streets of London!"

new corporate survey City have sent out made me think of this thread, City proposing following new options:

Family Restaurant: With video games for older children, a creche for 3-6 year olds w/dedicated play area, seats in the family stand and shopping experiences for family members who don't want to watch football. Included in this would be a "food court", wherever they would fit that.

Team Talks: Industry expert led talks (ie. like a Ted Talks but by Ferran) for hospitality members, pre-match every game w/networking.

Inside City: dinner at City, private box meeting player of choice, photo pitchside, tour of the CFA including the boardroom, limousine service.

City football team experience: Day spent training at the Etihad Campus w/City coaches, includes pre & post-"match" meal, optional CFA hotel stay.

More than just football: Skills workshops inc. cookery masterclass to achieve a PL diet, wine tasting, fitness coaching and a Paul Hollywood baking masterclass. Morning workshop, then the match and then 3-course dinner.

The Tunnel Club: View of the tunnel pre-match (basically tunnel cam in the flesh), pre-match Brian Kidd briefing, premium dining, networking area, half-way line seating, limousine service and CL game travel.

Flex-Pass: Offers you access to different hospitality suites over the season, not restricting you to one suite so you can change based upon the clientele you are bringing to the game.
Some of those were on the wider survey a few years back - I do remember the Tunnel Club very clearly - complete with the £8000 S/T price

TBH I don't think it matters what United come up with now.

We've matched and bettered them on the pitch, we've bettered them, or will at youth level, including the CFA, we've expanded the Etihad and in doing so have grown our fan base and increased our attendances, with further expansion to come, while their attendances have remained at 76,000, our revenues and income is slowly but surely catching there's, we've just signed the biggest deal to corner the Chinese football market, as well as improving and increasing our sponsorship deals, the value of City and the CFG is now the same as United, and we've yet to see the plans for the Collar site and the Etihad Campus, which in my opinion will be the real knockout blow revenue wise in the future.

Everything they are talking about,is being done to appease the masses.
They will not revamp their Academy.they will not build a small stadium, they will not sign Bale,Neymar,or Tranny.
And they wont do anything else that costs the Glaziers money.
They as a family, have destroyed the infrastructure of the club.
They are the new Liverpool.
All they have got is history !!!!

Nail hit on the head there.

They've looked at extending their south stand for years. Too costly. Too problematic.

as much as i hate them thats a bit of a bold statement. they are still one of the top teams and will more than likely still be challenging us for title over the next few years. we are starting to overtake them, but they aren't just going to disappear.
