How much of a shit hole was wolves ground, truly depressing place.

The Midlands and Wolverhampton especially is ultra depressing, just the sound of that accent alone makes me want to end it all.

Are you aware what Manchester Life has developed so far in Ancoats and New Islington towards the Etihad - yet think there is no plan ??

You are spot on just look at Hydro in Glasgow which has seven hotels next to it and that is a smaller arena as well, the club have missed a massive trick here...

Sorry but that's yet more bollocks from yourself. The SECC centre has been there since 1985 with the Armadillo coming in 1997 and the Hydro opening in 2013. You make it sound as if they built 7 hotels at the same time as the Hydro just to service it alone in 2013. The site had been a major destination 28 years before it opened.

The club should have come out with their masterplan for the whole area, there is plenty of land around that could be used for other hotels etc.
The club think people are going to stay after the game or concert, why the game or the concert is the destination, they would be only staying to go the hotel. Also, surrounding the hydro there are bars, a science centre, 2xcrazy golf courses, a ten-pin bowling alley and food outlets.

The club needs to look at what Wembely have done to make the area a destination but drip-feeding buildings is not going to help the area

Manchester and the Etihad is very different to both Glasgow Hydro ,and Wembly in different ways. Neither can be compared.

2 years ago the demand wasn't there to justify it. That changed massively last season.

Wasn't there a 5 stage plan for the Etihad stadium and the Etihad Campus? Does anyone remember it or am I just making it up?

Regarding the hotel. If there is more demand for rooms than the new hotel can cope with I'm sure there will be another hotel or hotels built in the future. One hotel is enough for now to gauge demand, if nothing else.

The problem about that gushing PR video is that if you walk 500 yards in any direction from Wembley Stadium you end up in gangland. Like so much of London the area is a bit of a myth. On the positive side you can still get a flat round there for less than £100,000

I'd disagree on that, they didn't decide to build it just because of last season.
