BBC News.

People coming out of the show last night being asked about the arena. All were happy with it, smiling, and talking positively about it
This was on Sky's website and made me laugh:-

A number of Elbow fans at the venue admitted they were feeling "apprehensive" ahead of the gig.

"When you go anywhere you want to know about the structural integrity of the place you're going to," said Samantha, 51, who did not want to share her surname.

Not directly linked to the Etihad Campus, but huge economic news for Manchester.

It's a shame this couldn't have been on the Collar site.

Govt buys five acres at former Central Retail Park

Contracts between GPA and landowner Manchester City Council have been exchanged, with the deal for the five acres at the former Central Retail Park in Ancoats on track to complete next year.

The Manchester Digital Campus is to become the hub for 7,000 government employees. A planning application for the campus is due this summer.

GPA’s civil service hub would be the first phase of MCC’s wider plans for the 10.5-acre former Central Retail Park site, which it acquired for £37m in 2017 from TH Real Estate. MCC’s ambition for the site includes up to 1.25m sq ft of offices with ground floor retail and leisure spaces, as well as public realm.

She needs to keep away from a certain run down football club, just outside of Manchester then.

well somebody must check them before they leave the factory unless they have got from a cheap skate firm. All my years in Engineering and everything was checked and tested by an inspector before they left the factory.
Depends upon the number of items sometime sample checks are made. Things can be missed look at the Icelandair 737 brand new, and for a safety critical item bolts weren’t fitted Also add that maybe the manufacturer’s quality system isn’t up to scratch

That's since accountants started running engineering firms instead of engineer. Remember you can't account for idiots mistakes happen, one or two in a batch is cost cutting bound to be a disaster somewhere along the way. Never mind more dividend for the share holders
