The new stadium will incorporate a state of the art Japanese ‘Bullet’ train station allowing 90% of the stadium patrons to be at Piccadilly station by the final whistle
I think you mean 10 minutes before the final whistle.

That's a shame. It feels like it should be left in place. It's part of the whole area surrounding the stadium. A landmark, of sorts. Give it a coat or three of Berger Marble Moon (what I've just splashed on the kitchen wall) and it'll be as good as new.Dormant. No longer in use. The other gas holder is also going at a later date.

It'd be ace if they could use the super structure and fit a dome halfway. Think of it as Manchester's Millennium(-ish plus a bit) Dome. That being said the price of scrap metal may outweigh the community's attachment. That's a shame. It feels like it should be left in place. It's part of the whole area surrounding the stadium. Is your touring to sell confectionery for well known Mancunian acts?Despite Liverpool selling itself on its musical heritage, it’s actually a pretty tough market to sell tickets in. I do a lot of tours and in terms of ticket sales in the UK, London obviously sells the most, with Manchester and Bristol coming in second.
Thought you were from Penzance.my family is from just around the corner and agree it should stay
Should build some flats in them like they do in London. Would be well handy for the match!Booooooo!! It's part of the landscape of that area. I used to live on St Mary's Rd in Moston as a kid and when i went past the abattoir (on Briscoe Land?) the gasometers were the next landmark!
Surely it's not beyond the wit of man to repurpose them somehow?

Now that looks mint! Maybe paint them sky blue?Should build some flats in them like they do in London. Would be well handy for the match!View attachment 47640

Carnt see anything showing them removing the gas holders
That shows thee stadium exterior hasn't aged too badly. It was shite when it was built!
The Echo: "Why Manchester's two mega-arenas is good news for Klopp"gonna be strange if they get events on a matchday: 23,500
and the Velodrome (refurbished) reopens soon with increased capacity.
And, what happens if Asda reduce the price of milk?'
"67 minutes have gone here at the Etihad... as have the crowd... to beat the Biber concert traffic."
The more I look, the more I think Co-op Live will enhance Manchester. I read that it can have seats retracted back for ice hockey. Bring Manchester Storm home.

- MSG Sphere London 21,500
- Manchester Arena 21000

No sign of Liverpool.
Ferran confirms in the above interview that City are planning to expand the North Stand (41:50 onwards)
No but a Liverpool fan once told me the club pay people to watch the games so everything should be fine :-)He's wrong, we don't have the fan base to justify it, at least according to some on here.
