I have lived 5 mins walk from the stadium for the last 15 years. The article is about the arena looking for planning consent on their food area next to the canal, so Im talking about the arena not City. City engage with the community and will allow us to use facilities around the campus, they also invest in local schools and charities. The arena dont.Where have you been the last 15 years? I live on the south coast but I have read so much about City’s owners improving the area, the club supporting local communities, children with special needs and education. Everything I have read suggests the whole area will be free access all areas, apart from hotel and the stadium. Are you under the influence?

Are you wanting to wander in and go on stage when you feel like it?

For anyone interested, just had this leaflet put through my door.
A planning application for the development on the south-facing terrace of the imposing arena building will be submitted to Manchester City Council after the exhibition, the spokeswoman said.
The canalside cafe would be available for use as a "pre-event" area for ticketholders, and there would be accessible toilets and baby changing facilities, she added.
