Huge traffic issues at Bolton. Even with low crowds, takes ages to get off the car parks at Middlebrook for concerts and stuff.

Everyone is heading up the roundabout to the M61 turn off.

Always better to head down Chorley Old Road and past Bolton School, through the town centre and avoid all that hassle.

Here is the set-up for Wembley, they have Wembley Way we have Mercer Way, The pink parking is defo needed in Manchester it takes coaches a box park and hotels as well as designer outlet

Park and Ride is the way.

All these restrictions around the local areas close to the stadium for parking will affect a lot of fans. We should definitely organise places for P&R to be brought in away from the vicinity of the stadium for this travelling in from further afield.

That would make a difference for the people trying to get out of the stadium car parks n’all as there’d be a lot less traffic to contest with.

All good points you have raised, most of them are no-brainers and should happen, as they need to make the area a destination, the thing with the London sites is they have the tube, Manchester only has the tram and buses. The site needs better links to public transport so it can function right a starter would be to build the pink bus and car multi-storey that is needed now. The pub and other facilities like a box park could be built along the side of Mercer Way like what they have done at Wembley Way, the running track and other facilities could be moved to the outer rim of the Collar site so that hotels and bars and restaurants and other facilities could be built look at the picture below here is industrial land that could be bought and turned into an extended Collar site that features flats, shops,car parks etc and of course a park and ride

Good point there is vacant land on Grimshaw Lane that a new station could be built on, The Collar site could be massive if the development was done right with good transport links

The police forensics people have moved out of the building just beyond ASDA.junction of Bank St and Ashton New Road and it’s up for sale soon. That’s a fair size footprint to build a hotel on.

How is it possible to and why would you want to ? Provided the canal is maintained it provides and access route leisure / entertainment and makes the area nicer

You could move Excel House here there freeing up more space for buildings next to Mercer Way for a Box Park. The cycling centre is right next door
