In what way does that show the angles of the tiers in any meaningful way?Spot on, it would look like this with a single tier at the bottom and expanded second tier at the top

My understanding is that there will be NO mid tier hospitality in the expanded NS.Spot on @jrb agree totally
There is a small cross-section graphic of the expanded SS on here (true to form I can't find it now) which shows the angles better. The front edge of the existing 2nd tier is quite a bit above the pitch level, because of that if you continue at the same slope, I think you'll lose view of the nearest goalmouth towards the back of an extended 2nd tier. That's why if you look at almost any cross section of a multi-tiered stand you'll see that they're generally steeper as you go up.

Level 1 will be full width standing, level 2 will be seating in a single tier.
Unclear about the extent of F& B lounges but there certainly will be as many as can be accommodated.
I also understand that hospitality in SS2 will be extended and upgraded including a section dedicated for away fans.
All of which seems to be logical.
You're quite right. There was a lot in the Design and Access Statement for the SS/NS expansion application about the slope angles and considering the viewing/safety and indeed for the side stands protection from weather - it included feasibility into further expansion of the East and Colin Bell stands which I would reiterate have been designed for already in feasibility studies hence the replaceable corners that allow a more straightforward replacement to tie into side stand expansion in the future without needing to revisit the ends.
Whatever is going on at the moment obviously requires planning permission which means it differs from the extant plans for the North Stand. Whether that's just to add in the club store/museum and wider proposals or it includes revised plans for the North Stand is yet to be seen.
As per the post above from @Gone for a Burton I am hopeful we will get a large 2nd tier whereby the stand is built behind and then ties in. They either change the profile of that existing 2nd tier in the close season or they tie it in and it gets steeper. The former option would be the most logical.
Surely it would make more sense to have standing in level 2 - ie a large home end. Otherwise are they going to move people currently in the family stand?
There would be little to no point in having a standing section in the family stand as no one will stand up.

@Gone for a Burton is spot on with what he says, the new North Stand lower section needs to be all safe standing section( this needs to become the singing section/ultra fans) the second tier needs to be expanded with no corporate boxes, the corporate boxes that have missed out can be placed under the screens on the corner. The upper tier can be steep so helping the noise. As a club, we really need to look at what Spurs have done and what Everton is copying, I am sure whoever city has appointed to design it will do a good jobMy understanding is that there will be NO mid tier hospitality in the expanded NS.
