Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Thread

Give it a retro feel, put some terraced houses cardboard cut outs nearby and a liberal sprinkling of horse shit for that authentic Maine road vibe.

At least we now know City are working up a new proposal for the Collar site.

does this link work for everyone?

I had to find the stadium on the map and locate the plans that way
This link is great thanks. The pedestrian section really flags up the big transport issues around the tram network. There are huge problems to resolve with public transport after events and Metrolink is only a tiny percentage of people leaving the area. Metrolink will not be an option (with predicted two-hour wait times) once the capacity is increased and the arena is operating. I await to see what the club and council are going to do to sort this out.

Wonder if 2 is going to be a residential block.

There’s a side elevation showing comparitive heights of NS, hotel and includes a residential block around that position.

Saw that.

The perspective of the diagram is a bit misleading.

Aren’t they the current residential buildings next to Asda, across the road from the Coop Live Arena?

Some interesting stuff about the new North Stand Concourse....

View attachment 76351

Internal area called "City Hall" with capacity for 1800, with 1 till for every 90 people... as well as new City Square with capacity for 2500,

On Non match days the area will be used for conferences, banquets, exhibitions
Would everyone need to pass through City Hall to get to the turnstiles ? Or is that above ground.

Once everything is built and up and running 4000 members of staff will be working across the stadium and buildings.

City creating jobs in East Manchester since 2008. :-)

It’s things like that that doesn’t get mentioned by the red shirt loving media.

It is anticipated that up to 4,000 ‘stadium staff’ will be required on site for full capacity Stadium events. These will be a mixture of full-time, part-time, temporary and contract staff covering all aspects of the Stadium operation. In addition, we expect that up to 300 staff will be on Campus to operate the hotel, workspace, food and beverage units, shop and museum at any one time. It is likely that most of these staff will be on site seven days a week.

The Operating Schedule and Event Management Plan for the Etihad Stadium and neighbouring buildings is a live document. The team seeks to continuously improve operational management, with the Plan being regularly reviewed and refreshed to achieve this ambition.

Food and beverage. 7 days a week. 7am to midnight.
