The section plan is of the east stand probably,it clearly shows the disabled seating areas as they are at present on level two and three.

The broad line on the roof section shows how the roofline will be cut back too, then as you see there's a tease showing you additional seating in the area presently occupied by the screen.

There you can see how the supports will hold the temporary roofline, with additional cables to be attached.

We will end up with 2 large ends/ banked at either end probably each end holding no less than 6,000 that's the feasibility of the project no less.

WAIT AND SEE?
With respect that is not what the detailed proposed section shows.

Sigh .....

Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

All you have to do is count the blocks of seats, behind each goal, and along both east and west stands,it is clearly obvious it shows the east or west stand ( east ) when you see the plans inside the portakabin it will show what's the missing piece.

Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

Trying to discuss on an I Phone is far from ideal but the roof line is not altered at all therefore the proposal is to infill within the existing perimeters of the stadium.

That is a pretty detailed section shown on that hoarding.

Your talking absolute nonsense sigh................zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

Gents, why dont we just call it quits on this and wait the few days we have to to find out.

Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

It was staring me in the face.

You can see exactly the same current cable/support configuration on the picture I took this Morning.

Compare both pictures.

So it is showing the East Stand after all, and the new seats that will link the 3rd tiers of the East Stand and South Stand, but not the actual South Stand itself.

My guess is that the new South Stand extension will be backwards and upwards, which includes the 3rd tier and new roof. It will either sit between the two smaller roof/cable supports in the picture, or they will go altogether, to make way for a bigger and more setback stand. :-?

Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

You are so right, was it not staring at others also maybe not? Thanks for all your photos and posts there all helpful and informative.

TBF I was wrong as well from the beginning. I only just noticed it now after comparing both pictures.

note many rows on this one...

This is frustrating but I will try once more.

Disco Steve's section is like a slice of cake taken right through the centreline of the the stadium right through the centre spot ( family stand through to the south stand ).
Imagine cutting the stadium in two long ways and then prising it open and that is what the longitudinal section shows.

Don't appreciate the zzzzs
