Mutterings about some Sky 'investment' in Manchester cycling are doing the rounds so it might be over at the Velodrome?
Any more on that? Is it doing the rounds on the twitformation superhighway?
Of course, that's where the Sky cycling team are based...and the velodrome could do with a bit of a 'reboot' perhaps...other that I'm stumped?
A mate, who is a crazy mental cyclist, was talking to me about it.
When I checked I was amazed that the velodrome and other stuff doesnt have a lead sponsor.
Seems they are throwing money away with that dont you?

Only just noticed. They've taken down the 2 static cranes and brought in 8 mobile cranes. Guessing. Possibly behind schedule?

I just love the fact it's so embedded within that part of Manchester...there's no missing that regeneration really. Far, far better than hiding it away in some rural location.
As for the Cycling rumour...suggestions that the Emirates might sponsor another team there? Sponsor (and invest in?) the National Centre?
Not quite sure how that works with the British and Sky cycling teams based there...
