Sorry to come so late to the party, but have the club actually decided what the exact structure of the expansion will be yet? Are impressions available? I can't differentiate between fact and opinion on this thread.

Facts are the stadium getting extended at both the South & North stand ends. Option to move away fans or leave them where they are. Plans can be seen at the ground as to what the seating extension may look like but no firm ideas on what the outside will look like. One City related plan shows a big glass front to the extended South Stand so the speculation is about what they will do with that, what will happen to CB & East Stands as the roof will be out of kilter to the extended stands.

They haven't actually said 'expansion' is definitely going to happen, approx 3 weeks time we will know more when consultation has finished....

what about the possibility that the glass frontage of the expansion could actually be some type of screen which could display different images as opposed to just glass being used. Do the Allianz use something similar? This would open up a range of possibilities regarding advertising deals,etc and would look impressive.

Yes thats the sort of thing, you could change the look of the stadium to whatever you wanted depending upon the occasion.

Rafael Vinoly, who's got a hand in designing the academy site is just the man for glass frontage. He did the Walkie Talkie in London that focuses the sun's rays and melts cars. Now, if he could just design our frontage to focus the sun on the swamp...

The biggest element for atmosphere for me is pricing. Get the blues back who have been unable to afford it.

Also pay on the door spaces in the gods type scheme. Leave a few rascals and students to decide on the day. £20 for example by swiping your card on the styles. Renewed energy from an increasing rich/members club that is city.
