iirc Dave Brailsford has made it clear that British Cycling will remain based at Manchester - the debate came about because of London's need to justify the building of a new velodrome for 2012.
There will no doubt be further investment in the Manchester site and unless I am widely off the mark the investment in the BMX facility and Cyclo-X track was predicated on them being part of the UK cycling 'centre of excellence'?
If you havent look at the relevant website - <a class="postlink" href="http://www.nationalcyclingcentre.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.nationalcyclingcentre.com/</a> - its all about Manchester.
But I do wonder why there isnt a lead sponsor.
A line from the 'about us section'
There are new purpose built offices for British Cycling, the governing body for cycling in Britain.
makes it pretty clear that Manchester will remain the home of UK cycling ;-)
