The stadium expansion planning application is not on the agenda for consideration at the monthly Planning Committee meeting at the town hall next week.

As we are seemingly get closer to some sort of announcement about the Collar Site I was wondering what people would like to see there?

Personally I would like (and expect) to see an arena capable of hosting loads of different sports as well as concerts etc.

There will be room for one of the best footy museums where VR is used to recreate all manner of different moments of the clubs history.

And of course it would be great to see a cutting edge tech based theme park too, perhaps something like Marvel or Pixar type stuff.

I'm not an architect so I don't know how dimensions work regarding the size of things but I'd like something along the lines of:

I thought something a bit quirky i.e. a cobbled central street with unique restaurants i.e. not bog standard chains, bars etc, something permanent for daily footfall.

A sort of exhibition centre/small indoor arena would be nice, where we could hold exhibitions, indoor events as well as indoor sporting events, concerts etc. not sure whether we'd be allowed to compete with the MEN or whatever, but I would have loved for us to have taken over the MEN, rebrand it, refurb it and turned it into a venue on the attempted scale and meaning of MSG or something like that.

Maybe a multi-screen cinema combined with a Disney/Pixar attraction would be good, and I think maybe add that to an EA Sports "City" attraction as well, maybe one where you can become involved interactively with moments from our past, maybe even something outlandish like be immersed in a Wembley style atmosphere and have to take or save a penalty from the Playoff final, something unique like that. Maybe have our sponsors have a permanent residence, maybe a Hugo Boss outlet and maybe interactive features from Jaguar or Etihad, like a car or flight simulator that would also be a unique experience in an attraction, would keep the kids entertained.

I've probably already built over the Asda though by this point, I am the sort of person who would try and dig the Alan Turing way underground so we had room to do something silly, then again it would probably get in the way of my proposed Underground system...

An Arena G'Mex / Leeds Arena size , configurable 5/10,000, would be perfect. Not to much impact on Manchester Arena, kill the Apollo and allow that area of Manchester to be developed. Will support regular boxing and UFC which are growing sports, even Barry Hearns Darts Grand Prix, although darts is only a pub game NOT a sport, which is going from strength to strength. Manchester Basketball is set for the new complex at Belle Vue I believe.

With all the suggested links to Manchesters Plans to be a digital hub I think we have to be involved with a technology giant and a digital alternative reality theme park has opened in South Korea. But your VR museum is a great idea especially with all the green space work going on in the local area at the moment. Imagine being goggled up and it's you who scores after 93 minutes and 20 seconds., or equalises against Gillingham. That would become a drug...

When they held the pre-season thingy at the Gmex I did wonder if it was to prove the concept of doing that in our own venue (and other sports doing the same too perhaps?).

The VR idea is perfectly doable and I would like to go back and see what it would have been like at all the old grounds.

Walk down that tunnel under the Kippax and watch, once again as the pitch comes into view - especially on a floodlit night. #shivers

I think they can go much, much bigger on what they did at the GMex...
