Just seen a post on the general forum around safe standing and the potential for it to be introduced over here. If it did get the green light over the next 6 months say, would that impact our stadium development? Would we look at creating potentially a larger single safe standing stand at one end rather than the proposed 3 tiers?

they built most of Metrolink in rapid speed, so expect delays getting to your seats once completed

One tier would mean a complete redesign of the existing proposal new planning application so the answer is probably no

Laings would make sense as they built it orginally

initially I thought they had something to do with the proposed South Stand expansion.(and still do) Then I thought they were put there to protect them from possible damage due to the work being carried out on the new footbridge. Deliveries, etc. But that doesn't make sense. Then danebanksheik threw that one in. TBH that's a lot of trouble to go to stop anyone climbing them. A couple of Police officers nearby would have been enough.
Can't say 100% as I didn't touch them, but they looked metal in appearance. Well over 6ft tall as well.
