Heard one bit of info the other day via work. It was that a client has requested quotes for mechanical equipment for the new stand with a turnaround of 6 weeks for supplying materials. The company asked why the short timescale(as obviously not even approved yet) and they were told that was not an issue??

Take it with a pinch of salt but interesting if true. Especially if the timescales discussed are going to be met.

was at the ground last night for les chapmans do and they were still there but not around all of the cable bases so must only be the ones that will be affected by the works.

they anchor the one set of wires that head downwards from the roof - they stress the corners of the ring - they must be stressing the ring corners in a different way with the expansion

Hope the powers that be,change the souvenir shop and ticket office into a new supporters club, match day meals upstairs and boozing downstairs, and integrate a megastore and ticket office into the new north stand when built.pre match entertainment and all that.

there's no external renders of the North Stand Extension yet - the gap between the stand and shop is going to get quite narrow when its done

Good idea mate, i would move the ticket office into it's own building, maybe on the South Stand side just off the main road or as part of the new mini stadium.

It's happening. Planning is a formality when MCC are in partnership with us. It's not like they have rich investors queuing round the corner to transform East Manchester.
