That's right all those that gave their lives died to allow this country to be overun by a group of people that wanted our industry and our money.
Those people died fighting , racism, xenophobia, a nation attaching and murdering immigrants and basing its politics on division. Churchill their leader was one of the most pro europe leaders this country will ever have. He would be turning on his grave at the Mosely like rhetoric of the outers and the division they seek to sew as would many many who died .

As for sovereignty of that nature it has not existed for a century and William Blake style poetry calling for us to turn the world back a century to the Victorian days and believing it could happen is touchingly naiive and in a way quite sweet.

What makes you think there will be another vote? If the vote is yes, you can probably expect closer integration.

I don't know if there will be another vote. I think the chances of there being another vote are way higher than the chances of re-entering the European Union if we decide to leave. It feels like deciding to leave a marriage - hard to undo. Possible to do it later if we need to. At some level, UK can always force leaving. It can't force re-admittance.

For you information Pal, I come from a family that has served in the British Military in each of the last 4 generations. I served 28 years myself and have been to more military funerals than you've had wanks.

Anytime you want to come and tell me I make you sick to my face then feel free. I sit in SS3 NN 451 and look forward to meeting you.

No need for the aggro mate, but I agree with your original post, well said.

Inners claiming high ground because of Churchill and the war are scraping the barrel.
Inners weren't claiming any ground they were pointing out the William Blake style nonsense which made incorrect assumptions about get a rooms of many . It was a retort to nonsense not an assertion. This forum is getting more like the Britain First nonsense on Facebook.

I expect I'll need to vote out because soldiers are banned from tesco and Poppy's have been banned from Aldi or similar nonsense

Glad things have calmed down a bit. It was getting a bit like the Harry Enfield Scousers sketch!

People will vote how they see the balance of the arguments.

IMHO, the pros and cons might balance out over time but the sectors I work in (Health and Social Care) can't really afford an economic slowdown (even for a year or two) that would probably happy if we left the EU. It's patients and care users who could suffer!
