euro attendance

fuck what united say, lets worry about us, because of squad we have were gonna have a strong squad out for villa, all those people who cant get a ticket for league games this is a chance to build your points and see the champions which in turn will lead to you being able to get league tickets, i treckon balotelli will play, aguero for fitness, barry same, milner, kolorov, suarez.

remember your a city fan not a united , arsenal etc you pay to watch city, i never get these guys who say itll be good to see ronaldo, messi, xavi, ibrahimovic, in a city shirt yes if not ill watch barry, milner etc, not the best players in the world but they give their best in a blue shirt

get down there blues especially guys like me who couldnt make madrid, support the club whoever we are playing

and breathe

A lot of it is due to money. If you can afford it then great but a lot of people will save up for their membership at the start of the season and then that's all the league games paid for. People will have to pick and choose their cup games if money's tight and I guess League cup games are not a priority. With the cost of football tockets these days I'm suprised these fixtures are as well attended as they are.

I know that for some, attendances don't matter but...

I just can't get my head round the apathy surrounding Champs League and domestic cup games.

Can't the many that don't get to go to league games buy these cup tickets?

Surely we should be able to shift 40k+ tickets for all cup games!
the FA cup gets a reasonable turn out and no doubt the CL will be close to if not a sell out, but the likes of the LC and the EL are second fiddle and not many bother to turn out for them

How? Semi v Reading and top tiers closed with semi v Rags up for grabs!

Should be selling out home ends no danger.

Forget ground expansion till that happens.

Imagine, 30k in a 60, 65, 70k stadium....

top tiers weren't closed for the reading game

This is the truth of the matter today i'm afraid footballs expensive i'm lucky in that i can afford to go and watch the game but if i wasn't and had to pick it would be Dortmund before Villa i'm afraid, but judging by the i'll never be able to catch up the points thread place will be packed anyway

Don't you all remember the 100 loyalty points for that 1 single match too ?

Well said Nick

i have a season ticket in 118 but struggle with away games cause of famil commitments but also only got 5440

The Dortmund game seems to be sold out in certain areas - the South stand and two-thirds of the East & West stands are sold (with sprinklings in the Gods 304-306, 325 and 327). But the Family Stand is awash with availability on both levels.I know that some kids won't be able to go but the idea that the very back of block 323 is preferable to the front row behind the goal in the Family Stand seems odd.

I sit just to the right of the goal half way up the family stand, but I would say the view is much better up there in 323

I think people need to realise that some games take priority over others. I, for one, have to take days holiday to get to night games, so there are some games that I have to miss out on with the number of midweek games we play nowadays (prem, CL, fa cup, league cup, EL). Premier league, champions league & fa cup games will always take precedence over the league cup & europa league. It's not that I don't want to be there, it's that I can't.
