Europa League draw

I know this will disagree with what looks like about 90% of people on this thread...

Porto is about as good a draw as we could have hoped for. It will generate a bit of excitement, at the same time Porto are not what they have been in recent seasons (see their champions league performance in a piss poor group). Add the fact its about 3 hours down the road and won't be freezing cold.

Fantastic draw and I fully expect us to progress to the next round. Using a mixture of first team and second team players.

Sporting in the next round should we go through, and I'm almost certain we will, should be much the same, if not just as strong as Porto.

Brilliant draw.

Got to be honest, that's just what we needed! A lot of people thinking we'll drop out to focus on the League but we'll see what Mancini has in store for this tie. Basically the top two teams in the competition drawn straight off the bat, should show our European credentials if we can wipe them aside over 2 legs. Bring it on!!! Can't wait!

Me too, going Weds, back Friday £75.98 with easyjet....

Dont forget there is the option of us playing the home leg first if we dont play on a Tuesday

no we're playing the 2nd leg at home at 5pm on wednesday 22nd february.

Correct, confirmed by UEFA prior to the draw.

every Cup draw we've been in this season has been astounding. Arsenal, Liverpool, United, Bayern, Porto, Napoli...any trophy that we win this season would be well-earned.

I don't know much about the team but the city itself is a fabulous place to visit. Beer is cheap and the restaurants are quality, would also definitely recommend the port places for a visit. Stadium is a bit soulless but if pretty full there will be a decent atmosphere, its also fairly easy to get to. Good draw.
