European away games ticketing policy

Actually there were at least three fellas in the queue near us in their 70s.
Being old isn't a disability, but they still should be treated better.

We offered to watch the space for the two old guys behind us so they could go and get a drink, have rest and go to loo,but the declined.
We had an old boy in front us who was struggling a bit they let him in gave him a seat until lads he was with got to front then he just joined in and picked his ticket up job done.

If we're going to have to queue for two hours then why can't we queue at the ETIHAD when they first go on sale and take our flight/hotel confirmation?
Or is that too simple?

I posted the exact same thing.
1000 different points criteria each day.
The queues at the ticket office would be small.
No need for wristbands as proof of booked flight and hotel is enough.
Those who can't get to the Etihad due to distance can email prrof of flight and Hotel booking to the ticket office before tickets are posted.

Also. Why can't the club hire an office or room at the Airport? There are always empty rooms and offices when reaching an Airport and passing tbrough. Ticket collection there and then. It's not rocket science.

Shame the older guys didn't take up your kind offer. I was invited into a good pub by a top Celtic fan, with friends holding my position in the queue. Surely the Club could exempt pensioners from this process. I doubt there is a lively points whoring scene involving over 65s. That said if it's about security, I saw two pensioners scrapping at the home game vs Kiev.

This had gone too far in Glasgow. Plus it's had knock on affects. My tickets for Spurs away didn't arrive until yesterday. I'm on the train down to London now so 1 days additional delay in receiving the ticket would have created more hassle.

You are correct on one point that I did not go on Wednesday due to my points not being sufficient to buy.
However, This new system has allowed me to purchase tickets on my own criteria for games in Paris & Madrid.
If it means a 20 minute wait in the Pull man hotel or a shopping centre then that's fine by me.

Now can you now see why I'm all for it ?? It bring people like me on 12000 points into the frame for these games.

I could join a supporters club and try and jump the que that way but I'm very much against that way of getting tickets for matches.

So cut out your petty responses about telling me about being selfish as it makes you look stupid.
the problem is that its not fair. I am in favour of the system if it does allow middle pointers to get tickets but it also means that high pointers, like myself, who actually do use their tickets are being dragged in to this farce. why on earth people like myself who in their 60,s shouldn't be queing in the pissing rain when the reasons behind it are nothing to do with me. I am using the ticket, I am not selling it on. I am and never have been a pisshead who giving the club a bad name and I am most certainly not a security risk. there is absolutely no reason to question my attendance in this manner.

No, it benefits everyone who are on the same level of points that i'm on that in the past would not get a look in for these games.
3 lads i go with on the same points as me are now having a chance to buy a ticket for these games.
What is wrong with that ?
you and people at your level of points are there because you haven't attended as many games. games that we have sent tickets back for. half of the people you are defending wouldn't go to a euro or indeed a domestic away if the ticket fell on their lap.
