European away games ticketing policy

Ballots on the way that happens and city can go fuck themselves
agreed.
someone will get a ticket through the ballot and guess what, they have to take rover to the vets so they sell the ticket on. we know for a fact(because of difference in points) that people whether they like the term or not are jcl's. 2008 onwards who have for some time been bleating about the ticket point system. I always smile to myself when opponents sing "where were you were shit" ? as I think to myself "bloody good question". we know there are blues out there with over 20,000 points, if any system, in any guise, give a ticket to someone on say 1000 points via a ballot which prevent the 20k man going to a game is nothing short of a disgrace. I have over 18k and I should get nowhere near a game that he doesn't.

Absolutely no to ballots. Why should people who haven't missed a game for decades potentially miss out on a ticket to allow a JCL to get a ticket?

For various reasons the ticket point system is flawed and works against young supporters and perhaps those that have moved away for a period, but the solution to that problem shouldn't be to disadvantage everyone!

I agree there should be more chance of someone with 15,000 points getting away tickets than someone with far less points but no one has a God-given right to attend a game.

Personally I'd introduce a system based on the one the rags have but where anyone with, say, 13,000 or more points goes into one pot, corporates go into another and everyone else goes into a general pot. Then the number of tickets allocated to each pot will give the more loyal fans a significantly better chance of tickets.

Definitely going to introduce a ballot. A ballot would improve my chances of getting tickets to certain matches but id be the first to sign saying it shouldn't happen.

Seconded re no ballots.
It doesn't even work as Utd have found and they are trying now to counter the problems with it by having X % of people collect on the day.
Utd get 10k applying for every ballot. No one expects to get more than 4 or 5 aways a season from the ballot & so they all apply for every game and if they get lucky either use it or sell it on to mates. That's what the reds at my work do. What's the point of that process. It's way worse than what we've got now.

Wish City would provide a list of all aways last season, which ones sold out, and at what point level for each game. Be a few surprised people on here I'd think. I know we didn't sell out everywhere and a fair few others went to open sale I seem to recall.
