I've been following this thread with interest over the last few days and it seems to me that no-one has an issue with the distribution of tickets for Euro aways as such - it's just the collection system that is the problem. Now if someone else has come up with this idea then I'll apologise in advance but seeing as it's possible to customise your seasoncard with a photo on the back, why don't the club insist on you having a passport-type photo of yourself on it instead. This way your supporter number could be printed on your Euro away match ticket and they could be distributed in the normal manner. You'd have to take your seasoncard to the game with you and the club staff could do random checks outside the ground either by physically checking the ticket against the holder of the seasoncard or via some sort of portable device (the technology must be available somewhere). If the person with the ticket and seasoncard looks nothing like the photo then the club could issue sanctions against the seasoncard, eg, disable it for a number of matches, etc as a deterrent etc. This should then stop people passing on tickets to third parties. I know I wouldn't want to run the risk of my seasoncard being embargoed if I were to try and get a ticket with the intention of not going to the game and simply selling it on.
