European away games ticketing policy

I thought someone might have come up with this beforehand tbh! I've got to be honest - it sounds a better way of doing things than any of the other alternatives I've read about. I also imagine the people shouting you down were the ones liable to miss out due to the more stringent processes that the club have introduced.

Yep its a good idea, and one I should have copyrighted when I brought it up after the Paris game last year.
However a few gobshites on here shouted it down without reason.
Personally I think we could register any fan who wants a Euro away card.
You have to provide passport details and the like and you get a card with you photo and seasoncard number on it and the club keeps the passport details safe.
You present your card and your ticket, with number on reverse and gain entry. If they don't match then bye bye.

It's definitely a better idea than the collection process that has been used, this and similar ideas have been suggested previously, some seem to think it will cause problems getting in grounds, I don't see why it should if they organise the staff properly. Some also say not to change the system as they can't seem to be able to separate the collection process and the distribution policy !

Hasn't we gone full circle here and volunteering for photo I'd to go to football matches just like Thatcher wanted after Hillsborough ?

Proof that you do not need to be a season ticket holder to get CL away tickets

I've watched a few of his vlogs and they're decent and he comes across a very decent lad to be fair but.. If he's not even got a season ticket how the fuck can it be fair that he or anybody else who's not made the commitment to be a season ticket holder get a ticket for a hugely popular fixture like Celtic away?

Examples like this make this a huge issue for supporters and I'm glad that the club are finally looking to do something that might stop this happening.

I get where you're coming from with this but if you're not interested in going to Euro aways then there'd be no need for you to have a photo on your seasoncard. Just following on from your mention of Hillsborough, did anyone else that went to Glasgow wonder why it's legal to have rail seating in Scotland but not in England? That section in the corner really helped to create a great atmosphere which was right up there with anything else I've experienced as a season ticket holder since 75/76.

Surely he's a season ticket holder? He's at most games home and away

Wouldn't the seats be down for a European game ?

That seems the most logical solution but if the rules state 'its the clubs responsibility to ensure the correct individuals get ickets' would it not require the cooperation of all the differing clubs we face? Or would it be City staff checking the tickets match to the membership at the turnstile??

Only playing devils advocate to consider why the simplest solution is not being considered by the club.

They've probably not thought of it!
