if this is a retort to my post then even this i dont agree with. a lot of people bought platinum because they didnt want to fall behind and miss out on the inevitable cup finals and big games we'll be attending in years to come.
buying loyalty just doesn't sit right with me.
Can you get platinum on your first SCpeoffrey said:stimo said:peoffrey said:Someone going on to Platinum last season could've got 1000 loyalty points just for renewing and joining all 3 Cup schemes.

It wasn't a direct retort to anyone. I was just stating a fact about how someone could immediately join the queue with 1000 loyalty points. 400 for the Platinum Card and 600 for 3 Cup Schemes. It doesn't sit right with me either!

I imagine so. Happy to be corrected if I'm wrong.

As long as your prepared to pay, you can. Probably take a lifetime of ST's to put you in a position where you could get a cup final ticket though........

1000 loyalty points is still a significant start over someone just buying a Gold Seasoncard on its own. You then get double loyalty points on all away tickets (can be bought for others).

It goes against everything the club has represented for so long now. The owners and the club have stated that their priority is rewarding and accommodating those fans that stuck with the team through thick and thin for 35+ years, yet I dont see that with this scheme. Think of the multiple thousand pounds an average fan has spent on this club in those barren years, tickets, shirts, travel, food and drink, etc. why should they then have to suffer just because they can't and Billy Newcomer can afford a 'seat for life'. I must have spent £10k just since we moved to Eastlands, never mind the 5 years before that. Prices are already becoming very difficult to pay, and if they are inflated much more I dont know how I will manage to pay for them. I certainly wont be able to go head to head and turn down say £100 compensation for my seat, but I dont think it's right. I've paid for my season ticket, therefore this is my seat, why should the club offer to someone the chance to buy my seat for life, and try and negotiate me a move somewhere else in the ground whenever they fancy. Don't agree with it at all.
I understand this is all a theory as it stands, and I doubt it will happen. However, if it does and fans like me, and fans like those that have been going home and away for 20+ years, get treated as second class, I will not be afraid to walk away from the club with nothing more than incredible memories of moss side, Lloyd St Chippy's, Wembley 99', promotions, move to Eastlands, several derby day wins, FA Cup, and of course Aguero's special goal.

Guess it was inevitable and we got to see us win the league before we are sold down the river. And all this on the back of the ex barca bloke saying the club will be sold to global fans on the history of its working class....spin for ripping us off!?!?

Why is that? We have the best owners in the world....can we not trust them?
