Everton post-match thread

All I saw before the game was man city fans saying Everton are crap and totally disrespectful comments

I would hope it teaches man city fans to become more humble

But sadly I highly doubt it, well done Everton totally deserved

Who've you got in the semi....

Oh wait.

Loads of possession at points in the match but bugger all clear cut chances. Pretty much story of the way City play at the moment.
In other news, Navas scored! With his left foot! Unbelievable!

Zero movement, piss poor work rate and zero leadership in this side.

There is just no desire what so ever from this side. None of them seem up for a scrap and gambling on getting on the end of things. It's as if Delph and Dinho are restricted from running into the box to cover for Yaya.

For all of the stick Navas gets about his crossing, there is no one in the box. We constantly have 3 or 4 players taking up similar positions on the edge of the box.

It's disgraceful how little chances we create. Especially when you look at the players we have.

Time and time again Silva and Yaya slow everything right down. We need to attack teams with a bit of pace.

This might sound controversial but I'd play Dinho and Delph in the middle and Navas, Sterling and De Brunye in front. Fuck off all of this needless possession bullshit which breeds lazy players and go for the neck of teams.

I full agreement. This isn't working and we need to try something different.

What a bunch of pathetic, negative fuck-wits you lot are...

What has the club I love done to deserve such a bunch of wimpy, miserable, moaning gits as so called supporters?

Everton played well.

It was a great game of football.

It was played it a good, sporting manner.

It is only the end of the first half...

And, much to my utter delight, the hard working Navas scored (with his left foot).

City have no devine right to win every match they play.

Liverpool v City Final.

City win with Sterling scoring the winner in the 90th minute.

JJ.
You clearly do not like attacking flowing football, pace, midfield generals and a defence as solid as a rock, your team to look unbeatable and your manager to be a tactical genius. We are all aware it's only half time etc but let's face facts, we are clearly not paying well or even attempting to, it's the same week after week, month after month. Wake up.

That day Joe Royal gave us at Wembley 1999 was the first building block to what we have become today, without it City probably wouldn't even exist. Joe Royal in charge of this current squad would be miles better in my opinion than the manager we have now. But different eras and all. Now Jamie Pollock I agree with you. But leave big Joe alone!!
Royle FFS....

So it's 2-1 at half time, maybe their first might have been offside and we should of had a penalty, I'll still have us to go through !

I shit you not, I think MP had a Bayern Munich moment and didn't realise they were down to ten men. 11 v 11 then you can understand it but completely baffling when it's 10 v 11. We are shit all over the pitch at the minute.

I agree

The substitution looked disorganised

No you didn't, you picked one negative comment from the bravado that fans are entitled to show before a cup semi-final and played on it. You're here again after we've been beaten, as you were at 8 am this morning to spew your shite. Give it a rest.

Finally someone with a rational take on the game. The lunatics have taken over the asylum in this thread. Absolute hysteria. It was a great game and it was Everton's cup final. 2-1 is an OK result with an away goal.

Nowhere near an ok performance though and the substitutions were comical.

The absolute nonsense I'm reading on here is beyond belief... are these really Man City fans who watched us when we were 'really' shit....More shots, more possession, blatant penalty not given and an offside goal to boot. We were unlucky tonight but I have absolute confidence we will turn them over at the Etihad, absolutely no concerns. The fact is win at home and we are through as I can't see a 3-2 for example and I certainly can't see us losing,

That said it would help if the fans actually support the team on the night.

Our goal wasn't offside and neither were either of Everton's

The problem is that teams don't play out of their skins, that's a fucking myth. they just put in there normal hard graft for 90 mins and contest every ball, that is normally more than enough to trouble us and get a result. I'll tell you something else too, if we are not in the champions league (and given our atrocious away form that isn't a gimme) they'll be no pep either. The club needs to grow a pair and sack this charlatan now and get someone in to babysit us.
