They're only outside the bottom three because they won their first few games. In many other seasons they would be certainties to go down. People say the PL is the best league in the world but there is some absolute dross at the bottom.

I was thinking only this morning when I saw this week's fixtures whether Burnley will go all out for an Everton win and play a "weaker" team against us.
I mean weaker in the sense of only playing fully fit players just in case some of them aggravate injuries further against us. They are going to have to do a lot of running at the weekend and they no longer have Wood as a get out up front.
A win against Everton is better than a win against us.
It's certainly more possible.

Have just looked at their fixtures and apart from the rags they have a pretty difficult run in

I agree and in the true spirit of Liverpool Football Club (scouse not English you understand) I am about to start drafting a letter of complaint to Burnley, the Daily Mail & The Premier league at the appalling way in which Burnley are corrupting the league by fielding a weaker team.
...but being more sensible, it is the most sensible thing Burnley can do. Beating Everton is about their only hope of survival.

I have no axe to grind with Everton but you compare their ownership and the media interest in it to Manchester City.

The financial problems are really secondary to the role of Usmanov at that club and yet the media are completely disinterested. They did to be fair investigate about 5 years ago to claim that Usmanov was the real power behind the throne and that Moshiri was just a front for the secretive Usmanov but they haven't touched the story since.

It's all about angle rather than the issues. The real issue for Manchester City fans is not the problems that EFC have with their ownership but with the incredible one-eyed media spotlight on Manchester City.
I agree with this and you have to wonder why this is. Similarly I don't think Newcastle will get as bad a ride as we have. The success has fuelled it to greater levels but I do think being direct rivals of their darlings, at Old Scaffold and threatening their cash cow, and source of an easy well paid job for life in return for blowing smoke up their arse is the main reason.

wont go down, 2 games in hand on Watford and Norwich and fortunate they are just that bit less shite than the teams below them. Still completely dismal considering the money spent, and doesnt get spoken about enough.

Only 4 points ahead of Burnley. Maybe?
