I know mate, we know that and you know that. Sadly a large section of your fanbase have fallen for the bullshit that we are. This is pretty ludicrous given that they've done everything in their power to stop us and have hit us with 115 charges, in spite of an independent court, cas, completely clearing us of many of the same charges. Mud sticks and they know it. I find it interesting they're now rolling out people like one of your ex board members to say they fear we'll get off due to our owners political sway with the government. They're already setting their stall out in case we win our case.
I look at it from an opposite viewpoint - they take you on in any way and I'm stocking up on popcorn :-)
Problem is we messed up and we're punished for it. I have no issues with that but it's the punishment itself I disagree with. They say we have a wealthy owner therefore a points deduction is more appropriate but the overspend itself was arguably around the 25 million mark. Had we gone into administration affecting thousands of jobs and a new stadium project we'd have only been deducted 10 points based on what happened to Portsmouth.

Grand Old Team is a site for knuckledraggers and racist ones too. Their mods allow all that shit. Guess that must be acceptable to the locals over there still but can't say I'm surprised.

That Branthwaite is top drawer in every way and had a great game barring Erling's brilliant 2nd.
He was weak in that important instance and it effectively ended their chances. Still as you say he looked good barring this one moment. In general I was impressed with the Everton press. I think it caused us a lot of problems for the first hour anyways.

The only measure should be debt. Not sure how bad it is at Everton. But if Everton want to invest to get themselves to the top table, and can afford it, that’s fine by me.

I’ve always thought they’d stay up but, after Saturday, I reckon they’re doomed.
Lying on the floor every 5 minutes in a new invention of time wasting, is one thing. But, a senior player coming out and making excuses about decisions, suggests their heads may well have gone, especially when the decision in question is regarding a corner…

Theyll go. Luton are better than them.

Yeah stunk of defeatism. And the goal from the resulting corner was because of piss poor defending

I never really go on it except for occasional visit to mental health thread. Bluekipper had a much better forum and was well run by Steve who is an absolute gent. This is about the most accepting forum of other fan's generally and seems well moderated. I generally only post on this thread unless something grabs my attention. I can understand why people would feel it weird to go on another team's forum but to me I go on quite a few forums as it's good to see things in a different light. I think the anti city thing is generally our fans of a certain age. Most of my mates have no real issues with City, to me it's not comparable to what we did and though I don't agree with the sanctions from the PL we were stupid and naive in how we conducted our affairs. As a fanbase we've protested against our owners for decades so it was no great shock.
You are very welcome on this forum and I hope you feel welcomed. And I don't think it's wweird that you post here. I like to get a different perspective too and I was getting a very different one on G.O.T after that Everton v City match was postponed due to Covid. I got a load of abuse and a few of them trotted out the racist abuse towards Sheikh Mansour. I will have a look at Bluekipper.

For what it's worth i think 10 points is way too harsh for a penalty. I don't like these regulations xnyway - sure Everton broke them but the spirit of these regs are just to protect the cartel and prevent our clubs from competing. It's a pity that clubs voted it in. Turkeys voting for Christmas on one level but owners having the excuse not to spend their own on another, in some cases at least. For yours and my mate's sake I hope Everton stay up. Those who have turned their guns on City would get their just desserts if the worst happened for your club.

Conflicted personally. On the one hand, no club should have a punishment that could put them on the brink of admin, and this isn't the fans fault..the fact there is a brand new stadium is also cruel. I'm sure many of us would like to visit the new ground on an away day too.

On the other... Everton's board have cosied up with the rags for many years. They've been key in changing the football landscape before we were taken over hell-bent on being established as a Big 5 at the time and have the absolute cheek to bemoan the SLY6 at the same time as calling for City/Chelsea to be punished despite not even having a guilty verdict.

I get tribalism but Burnley go £1m profit and Everton lose £400m. Burnley go down. I think Burnley have a right to be pissed..as do Leeds etc. but Ev don't really care about them do they?

Bluekipper no longer have a forum but he now does a podcast called cider train. I think for a lot of evertonians they feel a need to apportion blame and personally I think Kenwright and Moshiri have left a legacy that no one ever wanted. Football stopped being predominantly for the fans decades ago and now you need as much nous off the field as you do on.
We never moved with the times, panicked and threw money at every journeyman footballer going. A scattergun approach that was never going to pay dividends. Look at Brighton - a recruitment programme that appears to be paying dividends and playing good football in the process.
