At the end of last season,vwith about 3 games to go, I said to an Everton fan who I work with that Dyche would keep them up, but if they kept him they'd go down next (this) season.

His style of football will be found out over a season against progressive teams who look to play expansive football.
 
Dyche is another dinosaur, this will be his last job in the premier league.
 
I remember the brilliant Everton team of the 80's. So many good players including Reid, Steven, Stevens, Sheedy, Sharp, Gray and (briefly) Lineker. They more than anyone lost out due to the disgraceful antics of their red neighbours.
The football landscape could have been very different if that team had stayed together.
And it probably would have, if not for the European ban.

Kendall left to manage in Spain, and that was the end of their spell in the sun.
