More or less. They are struggling to pay the bills for the new stadium and are desperate for outside investment.
If I were a rich Arab, I would consider them a target:-
Cheap
New stadium
Huge potential from a loyal fan base.
Ring any bells?

Them ships sailed long ago, there are too many clubs fighting for 4 places already, FFP rules and the world is a different place with little spare money to flash around, Everton are a club that offers so much but never delivers,

Newcastle doing ok. It just takes longer to turn it round.

I’ve always been baffled as to why they’ve not been picked up by a Middle East buyer.
The victims would be on suicide watch.
Maybe young can still bag em a few pens
With his trademark swan dives who knows
But I really think this is the season they finally go down and into obscurity.

In a club statement, Moshiri said: "I wanted Bill to remain as our chairman during this important period of transition for the club and I am delighted that he has accepted my request to do so.

"Bill's knowledge and vast experience will be crucial for us as we look to reset, deliver on external investment and position Everton for a successful future."

Knowledge and vast experience of:
- wasting money
- selling 66% of the club for personal gain, having bought 68% for £20M
- buying dross
- running the club with his heart, because his head is empty
- believing that smiling and talking about the good old days will keep the Toffeemen happy

Straight out of the Swales Book of Football Club management
They'll be looking forward to their Derby matches at the Dockside stadium playing Wigan, Bolton, Wrexham
I think this period of transition started the season after they gave the Rags a whipping at Wembers! - '96!

Because they'd have to negotiate with around a dozen people who believe they own the club. Which is what happened last time.

But how long will it take at Newcastle to be properly fighting for the top 4 and for the title, I don't see Newcastle being Giants any day soon, Manchester City closed the book on sleeping giants and it will be hard pushed to knock us off our perch,

Also Arsenal Liverpool Chelsea and dare I say united will want to keep trying before Newcastle rise
