It is getting stupid now how long this is taking. Makes you wonder what is going on. Have Everton been told and kicked up a fuss. Are they inventing a few new charges? We need the Scooby Doo team in to sort this out

The whole thing is a mess. I don't know how the appeal can change the punishment too much without making the first commission, and the Chairman of the JP, look stupid. Similarly, they can't change the punishment to a fine. So maybe reduce the punishment by a couple of points. But then why the delay?

I can't help thinking they are slowing everything down so the 2022/3 charges don't get settled before the end of the season. Then they change the rules and show leniency. Which opens a whole new can of worms.

They are in a right mess, if you ask me.

A fair method is to restrict their spending. Points deductions should only be for things like match-fixing etc.
Reason for a points deduction is that they were deemed to have gained a sporting advantage in that other clubs who didn't break the rules were disadvantaged in respect of league position, which obviously could have an affect on income and even worse relegation
An explanation not saying I agree

I appreciate that but that’s where it becomes a farce. If a club intentionally try to get an advantage by overspending then they probably won’t do it if the punishment is, say, 3 or 5 times the level over the next few seasons. A pts deduction doesn’t make sense as there’s no way to correlate the amount of overspend with the points achieved.
