Whoever we go for I trust Mancinis judgement

Silva, Dzeko, Savic, Boateng, Milner and YAYA were all not from Serie A

Lavezzi: 'No Man City contact'

Ezequiel Lavezzi’s agent insists he has “never spoken to Manchester City, but if an offer did arrive, we’d talk to Napoli.”

Reports are swirling round in Italy, England and Argentina that Roberto Mancini’s City are in negotiations for El Pocho.

“We have never spoken to Manchester City,” assured Alejandro Mazzoni on Radio Kiss Kiss.

“If the right offer did arrive, then we could talk it over with Napoli. At the moment an offer has not come in, but that would be a fairly normal event, considering the talent of the player.

“If an important bid is received, then the Napoli President will decide, along with us, whether or not to evaluate these new proposals.

“I have an excellent rapport with President Aurelio De Laurentiis and am not working to take Pocho away from Napoli.”

There are also rumours of a buy-out clause in Lavezzi’s contract that would release him for £29m.

“These are club contracts and I don’t want to talk about it,” said the agent. “If Napoli want to reveal details, that’s fine, otherwise I cannot take that step.”

didnt he start for argentina against bolivia the other day?

if so he must be decent, as he kept kun and higiuan out the side
There is a link on Goal to the match report:
<a class="postlink" href="http://www.goal.com/en/match/54114/argentina-vs-bolivia/report" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.goal.com/en/match/54114/arge ... via/report</a>

Substitute Sergio Aguero earned Argentina a point against Bolivia with a stunning strike in the second half to prevent a shock in the first game of the Copa America
...Ezequiel Lavezzi and Tevez both had a couple chances from acute angles inside the box, but could not convert their chances.
...the frustration began to build. Lavezzi drilled two shots into the stands, ....With 15 minutes left on the clock, Aguero levelled the score with a stunning volley ...
Flop of the match Lavezzi 4/10... Man of the match aguero 8/10

I am not a big fan of Goal but it does give some indication of the game.
In fairness his goal player profile there is not bad, except for his heading:
Club Loyalty 6.5 Creativity 7.5 Diving 6.0 Dribbling/Ball control 7.5
Durability 6.5 Fear Factor 8.0 Heading 4.0 Killer instinct 7.0 shooting 7.0
Speed 7.0 Work Rate 7.0

got to say if we are going for players like this or a natural tevez replacement i think Pato from milan would be perfect. has fantastic movement and good finisher, yes he is a brazilian but think he would do well with silva and hopefully nasri and balo or dzeko, also only 21. Never seen lavezzi play but i do trust mancinis judgement.

I agree with the above poster that says Mancini has a bias towards Serie A players

Why how many players has Bobby signed from Serie A ??
Hardly a full team is it ?

They seem to rate him on here....good read this for all potential serie A targets
