Iv come to the conclusion i fuckin hate Magpies, dont care what Mad Eyed Screamer says wheres my blunderbusslaserblue said:We get 3 or 4 of them on a regular basis. Last year two pairs of blackbirds nested in a conifer in next door's garden and a magpie struck. it ate all the eggs or chicks out of one nest but amazingly both pairs worked together to keep the magpie from the remaining nest. They made a hell of a racket and attacked the magpie when it tried to raid the nest several times a day but they were successful in raising the chicks.
I should be seeing my mate I go hunting with tomorrow, part of his business is bird controller I'll ask his adviceblue underpants said:Iv come to the conclusion i fuckin hate Magpies, dont care what Mad Eyed Screamer says wheres my blunderbusslaserblue said:We get 3 or 4 of them on a regular basis. Cheers mate but not seen or heard them since the weather turned yesterday, hopefully they have pissed off nest building somewhere else, but all these posts of Magpies attacking songbirds, dogs, cats has made me hate them, vicious noisy squarky bastardsandyhinch said:I should be seeing my mate I go hunting with tomorrow, part of his business is bird controller I'll ask his adviceblue underpants said:Iv come to the conclusion i fuckin hate Magpies, dont care what Mad Eyed Screamer says wheres my blunderbusslaserblue said:We get 3 or 4 of them on a regular basis. Goshawks are only found in remote areas of Britain cos of gamekeeper persecution, ironic really by killing the Goshawks have meant more Magpies and crows which still eat grouse and Pheasant eggs, go to a public park in Berlin are u will see Goshawks and fewer Magpies.
So buy a stuffed Goshawk put it on your bedroom windowsill .

I have woods behind my house with magpies, crows and all sorts nesting there. The fcukers get agitated when the Mrs and yours truly don't put out enough grub for them.Plenty of wee birds like robins and blackbirds also and it's nice to watch them all in the back garden.
Not so long ago,her indoors was lying sleeping on the couch and one of the crows started frantically pecking it's beak at the back window until she woke up............maybe they're looking out for us?
