Why not? It says any, not all. The RC can call in the SC on the last lap at their own descretion (there's a lot more into it that the FIA have used to justify it, though ut its too much to go into and doesn't change their defence), and Masi did. They wanted a finish under race conditions not yellow flags and worked their own rules to orchestrate it. Had Hamilton won would anyone be having this conversation about the safety car/gap reduction?I don’t think that as a defence would win either though.
I didn't say to be the best. You merely need money and you can build a team to compete in F1.
The equivalent would be a billionaire creating Bluemoon FC, building a stadium ect(chassis), build a team then immediately compete in the Premier League.
If the ruling said "all" instead of "any", Mercedes would have an ironclad case to take to CAS, because that is how the FIA have wormed out of it. It technically doesn't state that every lapped car must pass the lead car before they can continue racing under a green flag.
I still think it was a mistake not to bring him in under the VSC. It was clear the Mercedes had the pace today.Would of been more comfortable with the end result if Hamilton had new tiers and the both were level when the safety car left the track.

1.
the action of manipulating something in a skillful manner.
2.
the action of manipulating someone in a clever or unscrupulous way.”
Thanks for agreeing with me by your choice of words.
I think definition 2 was in effect. You are missing the point. Take away Mercs fuck ups and Hamilton would have been well clear before today. No manipulation could then have affected the title.“ma·nip·u·la·tion

On at least one occasion Hamilton went apeshit on the radio with his own team throwing away points with a nonsensical decision, just as bad as today's decisions by FIA.
Did you agree with the Times line: City were not real champions because they had help from Gerrard's slip? Or how about: City only won the title because United dropped points against Wigan and Everton?
I generally avoid agreeing with people who try to make clever remarks but fail.
