I'm not really that bothered, but I'm not sure there are many great options out there either.

This is what I thought. Not many alternatives, and the FA don't like change, particularly mid-contract. Get to the end and if he doesn't improve in the next Euros he can disappear up his own fundament.

Southgate one step up from Stuart Pearce for me. A dreadful manager, absolutely hopeless imo. On paper he may be better than Sir Alf, or Sir Bobby Robson. Imagine what those two managers could have done with this current crop of young talent that we have. Ah thats us storming into the Euro's as usual and then failing spectacularly.

He’s got exceptional talent at his disposal but refuses to make the most of it.
Apart from the city lads he’s got plenty to choose from in the Prem, if the likes of Henderson are still getting chosen come the next squad then we know it’ll be the same outcome in the euros.

Well over the last couple of weeks I’ve read numerous times on here that Pickford, Maguire, Shaw, Mount, Rashford, Sterling, Kane, Rice, Hevderson , Alexander- Arnold, are all a waste of space. Just about the only non City players who seem to be any good are Bellingham and Saka. Just wondering who these players are that the same people are claiming Southgate isn’t making the most of?

No issue with Pickford, Shaw or even Maguire but he only picks a select group of players and in all honesty might as well take a squad of 15 instead of 26 because he never utilises them, case in point was USA game after Iran, he openly said he knew the games would be totally different yet he picked the same players and formation. He’s got his favourites and sticks by them all the time when he should be picking horses for courses. It’s his second biggest fault after being overly negative.

The teams that performed above expectations fully utilised their squad. Southgate rotated about 13 to 15 players . I bet Middlesborough wouldn’t take him back if he paid his own wages.
