For years we craved big games and now we have some are scared of them ffs. Enjoy them it sure as hell beats losing to Halifax etc

ffs no one is scared of the games they are just bemoaning the fixture congestion. Keep up.

I think it's a good draw. Obviously it's a very tough draw but at some point we would have had to play one of the big teams. With home advantage we have a good chance of progressing and if we do win then we would probably be favourites to go on to win the tournament.

If you were in Germany they would have another team play the tie for you, they are nice like that...

Just a bit naffed off with some people ATM.

We are in the middle of arguably the best run this club has ever had , playing the best attacking football we have all ever seen, have the best home record of any team in Europe yet we still fookin whine.

Why ?
I understand the "to be the best etc" but what people are miffed about is the timing of the fixtures more than the actual draw itself.

Of course we can beat Chelsea at home, but with Barca coming to ours just 2/3 days later surely it would have been easier on our squad if we had drawn say Sheffield Wednesday or Charlton at home instead?

This appears to be too difficult a concept for some to understand.

sheff wednesday are not ideal opponents for a dress rehearsal v barca.

i would of thought a good kicking from a lower level team wont help us either.

the only thing that concerns me is Aguero's hatred for david luis

Has anyone also thought that a good win against Chelsea could give us great momentum to go and do Barça too, even a defeat to Chelsea could give us the determination to go and do Barça to make up for it.

Playing a shit team having rested a few players could actually end up with us going into the Barça game too relaxed and we could get trounced.

Better to play them now, at home than semi or final at a neutral ground. Even better that the Arse and Scouser's have been paired together.

The only way that wouldn't be a problem would be if we went out yesterday or hadn't made the last 16 of the CL. That would have been something else to complain about, though on a different scale. Do you want to be in the mix for these cups? Course you do. Well to do that we have to play games close together like this. Have we the squad to do it more than our competitors? Too right we have.
