FA Cup Final - Post Game thread

Team selection wrong from the start and that was a shit as it could get! Walker, KDB and Stones are done at this club now imo, we need a refresh of young fresh talent
Stones was shocking, he has gone backwards this season for sure.

He looked one of the worlds best in Istanbul, but what a poor season he has had.

A bit harsh.

Stones was poor but he hadn’t started for 5 weeks.

Walker also had a decent season and was far from the worst out there today.

Who the fuck cares we won four in a row ! They were absolute shite just sat behind the ball and got extremely lucky with a misunderstanding at the back…fuck em!
Fuckoff if you dont care tbh. Or just fuckoff. In fact fuckoff. I completely agree with the guys calling you a wanker and I followed the trail to see why. Wanker

Perspective lads, champions 4 times in a row, we can't win them all. Doubly Disappointing to lose to that shower, but we are still the best team in England.
Absolutely! We have a wonderful team who play fantastic football, for someone who saw us lose to Lincoln who saw Wycombe do the bloody double over us, it's all about perspective.
You can't play that poorly in the 1st half and expect to win. Annoying that it's a shit rags team that beat us, though on the day they probably deserved it in truth. we're champions for the 4th year in a row and they finished 8th!

Very poor. Too many players weighed down with the weight of all their medals. Certainly need a few incomers with that raging hunger that gets you over the line in these situations, as we have done so many times in the past.

Pep will see that, and we will go again next year and look nothing like this years side, that quite frankly dragged us over the league finishing line by the skin of our teeth.

Up the fucking blues

Very surprising and unprofessional, a real surprise with this club and management that they allowed the players out celebrating and looking the worse for wear in midweek.
Celebrate by all means BUT after the season ends ie today.

On the pitch, usual failings in front of goal with poor finishing and keystone cop defending leading to a goal.

Big summer needed, ageing players in Kev and Kyle, injury prone players like Stones, Silva probably on his way, cannot afford the same errors as recent years with Phillips, Nunes etc. We need improvements in the 1st 11, not spending on squad players and youth.

Also wouldnt hurt to have a genuine goalscorer option on the bench, doesnt have to be technically gifted but must be some out of contract players who if needed can offer us something in the box.

oh, sack our set piece coach, he is stealing a living. How Pep cannot see this is baffling.

Denied one if not 2 clearly penalties as per the norm but its not why we lost today, think complacency had a lot to do with it.

perhaps losing is a reality check for a lot of these players.

Sorry it wasn't tight - you could clearly see by the cuts in the grass, think it was Boulders playing him on centre right.
We shouldn't have been relying on those types of decisions let's be honest.
Oh agree what followed it was a shambles. Just asking if they showed the graphic. From what you said presumably not

Ortega - guff for their 1st, okay for the rest of the match
Walker - sleeping for their 2nd
Stones - a frankly appalling performance from start to finish, got outpaced after 30 seconds down the middle and things didn't get any better after...terrible shot 2nd half
Ake - poor
Gavrdiol - not his usual dangerous self
Kova - did okay, Surprised to see him taken off
Rodri - not great
Phil - very disappointing...one great pass all match which should have led to a goal
Bernardo - couldn't find a City player with any cross, not his best match
Haaland - weak, invisible, another poor performance...getting outmuscled by 5ft 6 Utd players....come on
Kev - didn''t make a pass all match and spent most of the 1st half getting in Phil's way
Doku - outstanding....
Alvarez - abysmal sub performance, this guy has gone backwards this season since January
Akanji - not great either, ridiculous shot late on (as did Stones)

On Pep for the 1st half shit show perhaps?... changing both CB's from a. successful winning run was plain weird and we paid for it as we were wide open in the first half
Much better 2nd half when Doku was on but not enough.
Still, we all need a good rest after another stressful season.....hopefully some decent signings in the summer to refresh things and we go again
I think the key ones out of this were Stones, Kev, Foden and then Alvarez. All fucking appalling to be honest and as much as some bad mistakes from others, their general performances totally cost us.
