FA Cup Final - Post Game thread

I think the key ones out of this were Stones, Kev, Foden and then Alvarez. All fucking appalling to be honest and as much as some bad mistakes from others, their general performances totally cost us.
Bad mistakes ;-)
That is being kind willipp:

It did sum our season up somewhat: chances not taken and goals conceded too easily to a team that parks the bus and counter attacks.
I don't think it's "somewhat" - whilst the season has been a success, it summed us up in a nutshell this season.
Pep will freshen things up again for next year, and I'm sure he's already thinking of how to overcome the issues.

I feel sorry for our fans who gave up their time and money to see that tripe,
No matter what you read on here, there were a lot of unhappy fans at the stadium today with that no show. It’s not about getting beat, as I had a bad feeling about this on the way down. But all the fans around me were just totally confused why Pep changed a winning side. A lot also thought allowing the players to go on the piss, and not report back until Thursday,
provided the rags team talk.

Don't downplay the FA cup. It's a prestigious trophy.
Far from it , but if i was going to lose either the title or the FA Cup its a no brainer , was at the Wigan game when we lost under Mancini and that was horrible day , so i feel sorry for all our fans today , they were let down but Pep will be preparing for another tilt next season

Poor team selection from Pep ( Stones,Doku etc) - shades of brain farts CL2021 and first half vs Villa 2022 final game.
Gifted them the first goal.
Poor finishing from Alvarez.
Unlucky Haaland hit the bar.
We were poor but still the better side. Utd deserved it as the underdogs although they were extremely lucky to even be in the final.
Should not have been out on the lash on Sunday because although it probably didn't make any difference it invites the questions if you lose which of course will now happen.

Of course disappointed at that result and performance and we just weren’t our usual slick self.

The desire pep speaks off seemingly was missing today from a few senior players - but I suppose that’s natural.

This summer surely should be the time for a moving of the guard. I can imagine Kompany at Bayern will try and pick stones, Walker and Bernardo which might not be the worst thing in the world.

Savio will be a supremely good signing on the right. I’d love to get in Bruno G from Newcastle as he’s a horrible bastard and would boil loads of piss which I like. Then maybe Frimpong and Braithwaite from Everton and job done.

A refresh is something Pep always says is needed.

Anyway still a great season winning the title and let’s go for 5 next year!
Not exactly bringing in galacticos
